Typologies of industrial buildings are a trademark of Bernd and Hilla Becher, internationally celebrated exponents of independent object photography. Complied over decades, their typologies provide a comparative perspective that combines a systematic approach with empirical aestheticism. Some 160 typologies - almost the entire series - presented as tableaux with various numbers of single shots are published in this volume.
